DMTF Welcomes New VP of Membership

Willie Nathan of Vertiv has been appointed to serve as DMTF’s new vice president of membership. Willie will play an important role in the organization as DMTF continues its commitment of providing solid value to its members.

Did you miss the APTS keynotes? Now available on-demand!

DMTF’s annual summer event – 2020 Alliance Partner Technical Symposium (APTS) – looked a little different this year. APTS 2020 was held virtually via Zoom! While we certainly missed the face-to-face interaction that APTS affords us, the virtual event was deemed a success.

New Redfish Educational White Paper Now Available

Are you looking to learn more about DMTF’s Redfish®? The Redfish Forum – the group responsible for the Redfish standard – has created a new white paper, Redfish Certificate Management, designed to help implementers and clients understand the Redfish certificate data model as well as the common workflows clients might require to manage certificates.

DMTF Announces New PMCI Tools Task Force

DMTF has formed a new Tools Task Force within its Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Working Group. The PMCI Working Group develops the Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI), Management Component Transport Protocol (MCTP), Platform Level Data Model (PLDM), and Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) specifications that provide a comprehensive, common architecture for improved communication between management subsystem components.

New Redfish Release 2020.2 Now Available

DMTF’s Redfish®, Release 2020.2, is now available for public download. Designed to deliver simple and secure management for hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), the latest release of the Redfish standard includes 5 new schemas, 10 schema updates, and additional developer resources. The new release features support for StorageDevice Message Registry, which provides storage-specific events or status changes.

Created by developers, for developers, SNIA's Storage Developer Conference is planned for September 21-24, 2020. The call for presentations is still accepting proposals. You can gain exposure for the technical work you are doing, and DMTF members are invited to submit a proposal.

DMTF recently participated in the Open Compute Project (OCP) Virtual Summit, May 12-15, 2020, as an exhibitor. Executives and representatives chatted with attendees, provided additional information and answered questions about DMTF standards.

New Redfish Release 2020.1 Adds Support for Network Device Registry, Secure Boot Database and Signatures

DMTF’s Redfish®, Release 2020.1, is now available for public download. Designed to deliver simple and secure management for hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), the latest release of the Redfish standard includes 2 new schemas, 17 schema updates, and additional developer resources. The new release features support for the Network Device registry to provide Network Interface Card/networking adapter-specific events or status changes, Secure Boot Key Management, and Signatures.
