DMTF Welcomes New VP of Finance
Richelle Ahlvers of Intel Corporation has been appointed to serve as the new DMTF Vice President of Finance. Richelle will play an important role in the organization as it continues its commitment to its members.
DMTF Launches a Security Response Task Force
DMTF recently launched a Security Response Task Force (SRTF) within the organization’s Technical Committee (TC). The Task Force, under the direction of the TC, will be responsible for the coordination and management of reported security issues or vulnerabilities related to DMTF standards or DMTF open-source sample implementations.
As adoption and implementation increases, security researchers or attackers may find vulnerabilities. DMTF has developed a security issue reporting system that will evaluate and address the reported concerns.
DMTF Releases SMBIOS 3.6
DMTF has released Version 3.6 of the System Management BIOS (SMBIOS) Reference Specification, the premier standard for delivering management information via system firmware. Since its first release in 1995, the widely implemented SMBIOS standard has simplified the management of more than two billion client and server systems.

DMTF’s Redfish Forum held a live webinar on Friday, June 17th. Presented by the chairs of the Redfish Forum and hosted on Zoom, this webinar covered the contents of the 2022.1 release.
Key highlights of the Redfish 2022.1 release are the addition of SSH key related properties, addition of properties in Chassis to represent containment of power and thermal relationships, and a method to register an existing system as a resource block.
DMTF Releases DASH Conformance Test Suite Update
Recently, DMTF continued its ongoing dedication to management interoperability with the release of new versions of the Conformance Test Suite (CTS) for its Desktop and mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) standard. DASH CTS 2022.1 (Java versions 8 and 9) is available, and the DMTF Certification Registry is accepting submissions.

DMTF’s Redfish Forum to Host Live Webinar on the Redfish 2022.1 Release
The Forum chairs will present the contents of the release. A Round Table discussion will be held immediately following the webinar.

Redfish Release 2022.1 Now Available
DMTF’s Redfish®, Release 2022.1 is now available for public download. Designed to deliver simple and secure management for hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), the latest release of the Redfish standard includes 34 schema updates and a new developer resource, the Redfish Message Registry Guide. This new guide presents message registry definitions in a more human-readable format and includes a summary table as well as individual message details.
DMTF standards to be represented at the OpenInfra Summit in Berlin
Continuing its commitment to industry outreach and education, DMTF representatives will participate in the OpenInfra Summit Berlin, June 7-9, 2022, at the Berlin Conference Center. The conference invites attendees to collaborate directly with the people building and running open source infrastructure using OpenStack, Kubernetes, and 30+ other technologies.
