DMTF Now Enables Member Software Submissions
The DMTF – built on a foundation to promote technical standards – has been engaged in an ongoing effort to increase the adoption of existing standards and promote the publication of new standards to enable effective management of IT environments.
To advance these efforts, the organization welcomes the development of new projects, which will now include software, in addition to the specification work that the DMTF is internationally known for. Participation in software projects within the DMTF is now available for member companies that sign and agree to the new Members’ Software Submission Agreement.
This new benefit of membership will complement the development of standard specifications by allowing for submission of related software examples and other software tools. This agreement also allows for future opportunities for the DMTF to contribute to and collaborate with Open Source efforts.
