New DMTF Webpage Highlights Open Source Projects
The DMTF has always welcomed the use of its standards in open source projects – the organization’s ongoing, active collaboration with the open source community helps encourage feedback and strengthens interoperability. As the list of these projects continues to grow, DMTF has created a new webpage where you can view all of the known open source projects in one place.
DMTF Releases CIM 2.49
The DMTF recently published the latest release of the Common Information Model (CIM) Schema, version 2.49. This widely-used standard provides a common definition of management information for systems, networks, applications and services.
New Redfish Update Adds Composability Support
Continuing its aggressive development timeline, an important update to the DMTF’s Redfish® standard is now available. The newly-released version 2017.1 of the Redfish Schema (available for download here) and version 1.2.0 of the Redfish Specification contain a number of additions, including support for composable infrastructures.
DMTF Releases Updated MCTP SMBus/I2C Transport Binding Specification
The DMTF’s Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Working Group defines standards to address “inside the box” communication and functional interfaces between the components of the platform management subsystem (e.g., management controllers, managed devices, etc.). PMCI’s Management Component Transport Protocol (MCTP) over SMBus/I2C Transport Binding Specification is now available in version 1.1.0.
