DMTF Alliance Partner, MIPI Alliance, Announces Use of SPDM as Foundation for MIPI Security Specification
DMTF Alliance Partner, MIPI Alliance, formed its MIPI Security Investigation Group (Security IG) in 2019. The Security IG was developed to provide recommendations for a scalable, uniform MIPI security framework and ongoing support model.

DMTF’s Redfish®, Release 2020.4, is now available for public download. Designed to deliver simple and secure management for hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), the latest release of the Redfish standard includes 7 new schemas, 29 schema updates, and additional developer resources.
DMTF Releases Secured Messaging Utilizing Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) Specifications
DMTF announces the public release of its Secured Messages using SPDM Specification (DSP0277) as well as the Secured Messages using SPDM over MCTP Binding Specification (DSP0276) as DMTF standards.
DMTF Appoints New Board Vice-Chair
The Board of Directors has appointed Bill Kawakami of Cisco to serve as its Vice-Chair, a position that ensures the continuity of the organization should there be a temporary absence or disability of the Chair. Bill assumes the Vice-Chair role immediately.
Wrapping Up 2020 - From DMTF President Jeff Hilland
Even with the challenges wrought by 2020, together we pressed forward to create meaningful standards that address industry needs while solving challenges for the end user. We were able to move forward in spite of the circumstances presented by COVID because we already had the capacity to fully adopt a new working model.
